This cabin was perfect for my husband and me! Is was clean, comfortable, quiet, beautiful and close to everything! We loved the jacuzzi! We will definitely stay again!

Matthew 11:28 is an absolutely wonderful cabin!!! This cabin is easy to get to, comfy, cozy and just the right size for a relaxing getaway. I cannot say enough good things about this cabin. Natalie was great to work with too. We will definitely stay here again!

Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary this was a perfect cabin to relax but yet close enough to activities if we wanted to get out. Very cozy. All communication and transaction went very smooth. Thank you for sharing your precious cabin with us. Matthew 11:28 gave us rest as God promises.

Matthew 11:28 was such a cozy cabin & very comfortable for my husband & I. Loved the hot tub was very relaxing after walking around Pigeon Forge . Perfect for the two of us. The only thing I would suggest is a flood light/sensor to light up driveway at night. Definitely would stay here again. Easy to find & private. There are cabins around you, but not on top of you. We enjoyed Christmas decor.

My new husband and I recently got married and had a horrible experience at another destination. The sweet owners of Matthew 11:28 opened up their lovely cabin in Pigeon Forge for us to be able to try the honeymoon again. This place is not hard to find nor is it up the mountain or on windy roads (which is a plus for this backseat driver). The cabin was SO clean and cozy. It is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants yet you feel like you are nestled in you own private part of the mountains. In the future, when the mountains call, we will be staying at Matthew 11:28. Just as the scripture reads "I will give you rest", it certainly lived up to it's name. Thank you Natalie, for accommodating us! Honeymoon Take 2 was PERFECT!!

July 1 - July 5 Wow. Such a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. The cabin was very clean and was equipped with everything anyone would need for a great vacation. My Family and I were here for our vacation. We stayed for six days. It was very comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed.

We stayed at Matthew 11:28 for a weekend and it was nothing short of awesome. The cabin is so clean, so nicely decorated and stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed it so much! We had some minor problems with the AC and Natalie was quick to help us in anyway she could and the problem was fixed ASAP. We planned a quick trip to Pigeon Forge to see the eclipse and needed a place to stay. I contacted Natalie and quickly got registered for Matt. 11:28. The process was quick and very easy, everything through email and text messaging. The cabin was everything her website said. It was perfect for just the two of us. I would say a family with a couple of kids would find it comfortable too. It's far enough away from town to be secluded and close enough to be on the Parkway in 10 minutes. We would have liked a better view but the price was right and we would stay in one of Natalie's cabins again and would highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for our vacation. We absolutely loved it, so much in fact, we contacted Natalie the owner and asked if we could stay an extra day which she was able to accommodate us. She is great to work with!!!

The cabin was very clean, smelled great when we walked in and had everything we needed. I was surprised that there was even personal items such as body soap. shampoo, conditioner and lotion. We had brought our own so we didn't have to use it, but it was a nice touch to have it all available.

It was close to the Parkway and easy to get where we were going. We did spend lots of time in this lovely cabin and took advantage of the rocking chairs, grill and hot tub on the covered back porch. I can't imaging staying in a hotel on the Parkway after staying here.

We will definitely come back and stay in one of Natalie's cabins again. Thanks so much for sharing this cabin with us. We were definitely "given rest". I hated having to leave to come back to work, but am already saving for our next trip!

My husband and I stayed here for a late Valentine's Day/Birthday getaway and it was perfect! It was very clean and well maintained with all necessities plus several extras! Would definitely stay again and only wish we could have stayed longer this time. The swing outside was perfect for relaxing and catching some sun on our last morning! We loved staying here for the weekend. It was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. It was perfect for just me and my husband. My family had a wonderful time spending a few days at Christmas at this cabin. The cabin was decorated beautifully for Christmas -- with bears, Santa, beautiful Christmas paintings and a nativity set on the mantle. The cabin was extremely clean. We were quite impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was, there was even a hand held mixer, so we were able to make cookies. Believe it or not, there was a thunder storm on our first night there and the power was out for a short time during the night. The water heater must have been hit and we had no hot water in the morning. We called the owner and within the hour someone came out to fix it. We will definitely book another property with this owner.

This was the 2nd time I have rented from one of this owners cabins. Both have been decorated very nice and included all the extras that you need to make you stay special. we did have one small problem, called the owner and she tried to take care of it but being the weekend before Christmas was unable to find anyone to fix the problem. The owner and I were in constant contact and even though we had to cut our stay a little short the owner and I reached a very fair resolution. We're already making plans to go back at least one more time this winter. This owner will be the first one I contact to see if any of her properties are available.

The cabin was wonderful, just the right size for the two of us, clean, good distance from town, nicely appointed, rustic as a cabin with all the modern amenities, recommend

Husband and I wanted to get away for relaxation and that's just what we got in this cabin. We were so impressed with how clean the cabin was - it smelled amazing when we first walked in! Everything was exactly as it was stated in the listing and Natalie was very easy to work with. We definitely plan to visit again as soon as we can get away! This cabin was to be my getaway for the week and to have somewhere to relax. This cabin fit the bill perfectly. Spent everyday in the mountains hiking and was great to come back to this cozy out of the way quiet cabin. Cabin is easy to get to and in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful place. We had never been to Pigeon Forge before. The location of this cabin was great, easy to find and we was close to everything. The cabin was clean, romantic & peaceful. Everything you need Natalie had in stock. We will definitely be back next year.

Came down to celebrate our 25th anniversary and had a great time! Loved the cabin and the Christian atmosphere! Close enough to all the "action" yet far enough away to have peace, quiet and privacy! Owner is great to work with!

This cabin was beautiful and Natalie was great to work with. She was very helpful and always responded to any emails and phone calls very quickly. The cabin was warm and cozy with everything you could need. Coming from FL where we don't have any seasons, the beautiful state of Tennessee and this great cabin with all its Christmas decorations made it feel just like Christmas should be. The only thing I wish was different is how long we stayed. There is so much to do in the immediate area, especially at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which was very close. It would have been nice to stay longer so we could spend a day in and around the cabin because it's just that nice and cozy! Thank you Natalie for everything! We had a fantastic time. We rented this property to get away, relax & for personal reflection. It was perfect for what we needed. It was clean & well kept. Looked just like the online pics. We enjoyed the quiet area. There are neighbors, but far enough away that you never know they are there. I called it our Little Cabin in the Woods. We enjoyed the hot tub & sitting on the deck. There are dishes & pans so we could fix meals. We ate only 1 meal out each day, which saved money. We called Natalie regarding a problem with the hot tub & she was very helpful in resolving the issue. We would recommend renting this cabin & we hope to return some day. We rented this place for an anniversary trip and it was perfect. The hot tub, Jacuzzi, toiletries were the added touch to what we were looking for. I highly recommend this for church ministers and their spouses to get a way but yet still be in a comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely be renting with Natalie again!

This nice little cabin is nestled in the hills, just about 10 minutes from the parkway. The area is quiet and secluded - no noise, cars or anything to bother you at night. Peaceful and calm surroundings made for a good night of sleeping every night! The cabin is perfect for 2 people, with a large King-Size bed. Ladies will love the Jacuzzi in the bedroom. The hot tub on the back porch was private enough that you need not worry about being watched and the Tub worked perfect every time. WIFI allowed us to keep up with family and "post" on FB of all our adventures. Directions to the cabin were "spot-on" and getting back to the Parkway never took more than 10 minutes. Everything you need was provided from extra towels to blankets and quilts, to toiletries and plenty of plates, utensils and pots and pans. There was a grocery store only 4 minutes back down the road, or a Kroger closer back towards the Parkway so getting steaks and food to cook was no problem. This cabin is in good condition and is perfect for that couple's getaway that you have been planning. We enjoyed ourselves in the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area, and it was nice to come "home" to the cabin each night, and jump in the Hot Tub to relax away the day. The kitchen area is small, but just right for one person to do some cooking, while the other grilles some meat on the back porch gas Grille. I would recommend this cabin for any couple.

We stayed in this cabin during May of 2014 for our Honeymoon and we loved it. It is a very nice location that isn't too far from the main strip in Pigeon Forge. We had a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend getting this cabin! We will come again soon! :)

My husband and I had a great time. Not too far away from all the action, but enough to be very quiet. We loved the hot tub and also being able to enjoy breakfast in the cabin. Natalie was great through the whole experience. Very lovely person to do business with. We highly recommend this rental and hope to visit again and sample one of the other rentals.

My wife and I spent 4 nights in this great cabin. We loved it! It has great views as advertised and was very comfortable. We wanted to spend time in the Great Smoky Mtn. Nat. Park and this was close and convenient. We would definitely recommend this cabin.

Though my husband and I have 3 small children, we managed to find a weekend to get away for our 8th anniversary. This little cabin was just perfect for some good rest and relaxation. We came worn down and in need of a break, and left rested and refreshed. We enjoyed our stay in this cozy little cabin! The owner, Natalie, was very helpful in booking the cabin as well. Couldn't ask for more. Clean, quiet, everything the description claims. Natalie is a rarity these days because she genuinely cares about your experience! I've been to two of her cabins and will only rent from her now. Just book it.

My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. It was peaceful, decorated so cozy and just the right size for two. The hot tub worked perfectly and we loved the BIG bed! We had a great stay in this cabin. Everything is clean and just as described. The location is close enough to the Parkway and the Smoky Mountain National Park. Natalie is a wonderful owner who is helpful with questions and concerns. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the cabin was perfect! The cabin is so cozy and quiet and in pristine condition. We had such a relaxing time! It's not too far from the action of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but far enough to feel secluded. We absolutely loved it. Natalie was so great about directions and my boyfriend even contacted her to have flowers sent to the cabin when we arrived on Valentine's day and she was so great. We will absolutely be returning!

This cabin was wonderful! Everything was very neat and clean, and it was a perfect weekend getaway for my husband and me. Natalie was very flexible with us as we needed to reschedule last-minute when our children became ill. The cabin is aptly named Matthew 11:28, for it was truly a place of rest and refreshment. I also really appreciated the scripture verses posted throughout the house and the Bible laid out on the coffee table for guest to use/enjoy. Wonderful trip!!! Thank you, Natalie!

My husband & I really enjoyed our stay in one of Natalie's cabins. The 2-person jacuzzi tub inside was wonderful, especially since it was so cold outside. The "light-up" snowman on the front porch was adorable! And we really enjoyed using the gas fireplace. The extra touches like toiletries, books, a Bible & CD's was very nice. Natalie was very helpful and easy to work with. I recommend this cabin if you are looking for some quiet down time!

My mother and I stayed at this property over labor day weekend...it was absolutely perfect! The cabin itself was so clean & the decorations were adorable. It's in a perfect, private location. The hot tub was wonderful, as was the jacuzzi tub. We used the previous guest comments in the guestbook (located in the cabin)to plan our activities, where we ate, etc. It was just such a nice & relaxing weekend! We recently celebrated our 32nd Wedding Anniversary at your wonderful cabin. It is decorated so beautiful. The Hot Tub & Jacuzzi were thorughly enjoyed. The back porch provided a needed feeling of relaxation. The cabin is far enough way from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough. the pizza plac at the intersection of Goose Gap Road was great. My family spent 4 nights at Matthew11:28 in the spring of 2010 and had an outstanding time. Everything was very nice,clean and décor was perfect. Secluded and quiet, but just close enough to town. One of our favorite was cooking burgers on the grill outside! We were also very pleased to find your fireplace is operating year round, it made for a very romantic evening after the children had gone to sleep. If we're in the area again we'll certainly stay at Matthew.

The cabin was beautiful! A perfect, cozy, relaxing experience for my husband and me. The fireplace was wonderful to turn on and warm up next to and the HUGE bath was perfect! I hope we get another oppurtunity to stay in this cabin again!!!

We had the privilege of staying at Matthew 11:28 over spring break 2010. The cabin is very cozy and well maintained.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable and has a lot of amenities for its size. Descriptions, photos and map were very helpful. All attractions are a short drive away; we always enjoy the Old Mill Restaurant and love their maple syrup flavored butter. We were able to purchase the flavoring at the Old Mill Store to make our own.
The saying "you are a little closer to heaven in the mountains" is our motto for the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. We have made a yearly visit for the last few years and hope to continue our getaways. Thank you for sharing!

The cabin is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the whirlpool and hot tub, they are a must! The hot tub is semi-private, but private after dark. It was away from all the traffic, but close enough to town and the attractions. We really appreciated all the scriptural emphasis in the decor, books, etc. around the cabin. God Bless!

We had a wonderful long weekend prior to Thanksgiving. We especially enjoyede the hot tub and fireplace. The little black bears and Christmas decor throughout the cabin were very cute. Highly recommend the outlet malls and the Christmas Village for shopping. The Christmas lights on the streets from Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg made for such a festive feel. We enjoyed the Old Mill restaurant and the new Old Mill Grill is a new addition since we were last there. It offered healthier menu options when you tire of Southern home cooking. Matthew was the perfect cabin to get away to and spent much needed quality time together. The cabin was so clean and had everything that we needed. Just far enough from town, but close enough to all the attractions around. The fireplace was so romantic. Nice to just sit back and enjoy. We enjoyed the hottub

We stayed at this cabin over the Thanksgiving holiday. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was beyond our expectations. We had a wonderful experience and hope to return again.

My wife and I just spent 5 days and 4 nights at this cabin. After about 30 minutes we felt like we were home. The cabin is perfect for two people and will accomodate four if need be. But, it was just the two of us on this trip.
The hot tub is wonderful and very secluded at night. The bed is a king size and so is the whirlpool bath ! We just loved the entire cabin. The kitchen is just the right size and everything worked very well including the propane grill and propane accessories ( Sorry. King of the Hill fan !) The TVs have a great picture also.
All I can say is if you need to relax this is the place. It is cozy, not small, and just a great place to reconnect with that special person in your life. Also, when you leave the area turn right by the church. When you hit the main road, go left and then at the light you can go right to Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, or Gatlinburg. Left takes you to Sevierville.

My wife and I stayed in this gorgeous cabin for two nights. It was the cleanest cabin we have ever rented. The decor was first class, the hot tub was amazing, and clean, and the price was very affordable. In fact it would be hard to find a hotel with better pricing, and a hotel can't provide the privacy that this cabin in the woods has to offer. We will definately come back soon. If you are looking for a quiet private get away, please rent this beautiful cabin, you won't regret it.

We visited Matthew 11:28 last summer, and enjoyed it so much we decided to return this July. We love the peaceful setting and the beautiful, clean furnishings. The location is perfect, close to mountains or attractions! We'll be back!

I must first say thank you to Greg & Natalie owners of the property for such a marvelous cabin. We had a great time and we plan to return on a bi-yearly basis until we build our own retreat. Everything was provided...the decor was warm and inviting...the location of the cabin was fantastic. Secluded but yet close to town. WE LOVED IT.
John 15:12 was our first time being in a cabin and now will not go back to just a hotel. I must say that we had a great time.

We absolutely loved this little cabin, very peaceful and private. We really enjoyed having the hot tub and jacuzzi, very relaxing. This was the first time that my husband and I had a vacation alone and we really enjoyed the time we spent together. I wouldn't change a thing about this trip. My husband and I stayed at Matthew 11:28 for three nights. This was the first time I used VRBO so I was hesitant about renting from someone I didn't know. Natalie, however, put me at ease and responded to my inquiries promptly. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. We felt right at home. It was probably less than 10 minutes away from Pigeon Forge. We are not real "touristy" people and we enjoyed our time hiking in the Smokies and found a city/county park about 5-7 minutes away where we could run. I would highly recommend this property.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. This cabin was perfect! We got some much need rest and relaxation! The verse Matthew 11:28 def describes this cabin perfectly! This was our little families first vacation!! This cabin was the perfect place for us. It wasn’t to big or two small for our boys (ages 2 and 4). It’s truly a blessing and has a homey feel. We will most certainly be booking with Mrs Natalie next year !!! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay In Matthew 11:28!! We are truly rested up!!!

This is a great little cabin in a great location.  Peaceful area that is easy to get to.  The cabin is very clean and tidy with everything you need for a little getaway.  Would highly recommend this cabin or any of the other cabins owned by Natalie.  We have stayed at 3 of them and they have all been just as advertised.

This was our first experience of staying in a cabin in the mountains; but it will not be our last.  Matthew 11:28 was beautiful and relaxing.  Two mornings we sat on the back porch and could hear nothing but the birds singing.  We really enjoyed the hot tube, and the bed was great.  We will surly be going back again, soon!

Wife and I loved this cabin. Private with great hot tub. Just right for us. We will search this website on our next visit. We stayed 6 nights but had only enough bath towels for 4 nights. Need a few more towels since there is no washer and dryer.

We have stayed in various cabins and hotel rooms in the area over the years. We happened accross He Is Risen and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did. It was real quality at a very reasonable rate. I’ve paid more for hotel rooms in the area and they were half the size, and the quality of the stay at the hotel did not meet that of the cabin. I highly recommend you give this a He is Risen an opportunity to show you a quality stay at a reasonable rate. Compared to other cabins that I have stayed in, I give He is Risen a 5 star rating to theirs being a 3.5 rating.  We will be booking again in the future. Be blessed.

This cabin is the perfect getaway and the pictures don't do the beauty of this cabin justice. Very secluded going back up into the mountains, but only 10 minutes away from the parkway can't be beat! Felt right at home with the Christmas theme in the cabin. It is the perfect spot for any time of the year, you will not be disappointed staying here! My wife and I will definitely making plans for our next stay.  

My husband & I recently spent several days in Matt. 11:28 and had a great time. The cabin was beautifully decorated for the holidays and had everything that we could possibly need in it. The large selection of movies in the cabin were enjoyed at night after a soak in the hot tub on the back deck. We very much enjoyed the fireplace  & the king size bed was extremely comfortable. All of the little extras that Natalie has in the cabin make it over the top as a great place to rest & enjoy the mountains. Thank you ever so much Natalie, we look forward to staying in your cabins again real soon!
